I’m working on figuring out how to set up my new desk. I really want to pimp it out since I spend a butt load of time there. I wish someone would start a show called: Pimp My Home Office. It would be wonderful. And since I came up with the idea, I nominate myself as the first to be pimped. That didn’t sound right.
Unfortunately, there’s no such show on television and the desk will be here this week so there’s no real time to craft something magical (I kind of suck at crafts anyway). Any excuse to go shopping for some upcycled goods is fine by me. Here are some things that are on my wish list:
Upcycled Poultry Feeder Herb Garden

I know I said there was no time for crafting, but slapping some paint on something my mom has an abundance of doesn’t technically count as crafting. We used to raise chickens and we have a bunch of poultry feeders back in the ole chicken coop. This is such a great idea for reusing them. I was talking about planting an herb garden on my desk and I now have the inspiration to make one our of something I already have.
Map Trays

Alright, I’ve only been writing this post for a few minutes and I’ve already found two things that made me think, “I could do that!” Perhaps, I am a natural born crafter. Or maybe I’m just egocentric. At any rate, these are awesome. They run $40, but I have a bunch of maps laying around (kind of a map fanatic actually) and I’m sure I could find some trays at the a second hand store.
Dictionary Print Art

I. Love. These! Check out Collageorama’s etsy shop for over 600 different prints on recycled dictionary pages. They are fantastic and if you buy three, you get one free. It’s such cute and creative office decor, perfect for a writer or an avid reader.
Upcycled Mason Jar Chandelier

This is wonderful. It’s such a whimsical and beautiful lighting fixture. I know I said originally that this would be a desk decor post, but you can't stop the interior design ball when it starts rolling. I can’t wait to buy one (although I’m secretly thinking about figuring out electrical things and making my own). Head over to BootsandGus and check out their entire collection!
Have you seen any awesome upcycled office decor lately?
